Eating Disorder Awareness
We are teaming up with the Student Health Services to promote awareness at FIU for National Eating Disorder Awareness week, the last week of February. Volunteers will provide brief nutrition education, assist the dietitian and staff in setting up, cleaning up, and running the event.
If you are interested please RSVP on Orgsync. If you can attend for only a couple of hours that is ok it will be flexible and the assistance will be greatly appreciated. If you have any questions feel free to email Jennifer at vpresident.sda@gmail.com.

Volunteer at the next health fair with Citrus Health Network! Volunteers will assist Lourdes Martinez, RD and staff in setting up and running the event. Spanish-speakers are encouraged as it is located in Hialeah!

Nicklaus Children's Hospital Monthly Presentations
Thanks to your fellow SDA member, Nicole Rodriguez, SDA may work in two groups (one for March and one for April) to come up with a fun and informative nutrition presentation for children and their families at Nicklaus Children's Hospital!

Southwest Miami Senior High School Health Fair
South West High School will be hosting their annual health fair this March and they are looking for the SDA to host a booth to relay nutrition information. SDA needs 2-4 volunteers to work this health fair.
Date: The health fair is March 18 (the week of spring break).
Time: 7:30AM - 11AM
Location: Miami-Dade, South West High School
Members of the club that live in the Miami Dade district are encouraged to volunteer due to the fact we will have to carpool to the event.
Go Green Event
SHS along with RD Christine and SDA will be having interactive, educational activities and posters to bring awarness to the Go Green initiative!
